Finally we have the land!

A huge sense of relief flows. Finally we have the land! After struggle for months, finally the fruit is so sweet! :) The idea of the land and this project came in November. Considering the enormous task and far off place, I took it with all my heart. I thought it would be easy, but not! I wrote to about 10 close friends whom I've known over the years. Its all their hard earned money, their prayers and blessings.
Obtaining the land was a struggle. It wasn't easy at all. First was collecting the laxmi, which I thought was the easiest. But it took several months and still going! We reached there, met the lawyer and found out problems of the land. The land had been parted into 4 parts and required all the siblings to come and sign the papers. The actual *owner* of the land had promised to give it long ago, but his sister threatened to put a case on him. We went to Bhubneswar and pleaded her. She wasn't ready to reduce even a 1000 rupees, whereas the original owner agreed to lessen 10,000! Krsna was purifying us everyday. Not to forget the 100's of calls, the pleading and finally the date was set, but the sister refused to come. We agreed to give her rail charges and asked her to come only for a few hours. We wanted to be there for 15 days, but it extended to 2 months and what a struggle it was! Finally the land was registered. We still have to pay the brother 50,000 rupees more. And there's a huge pond which needs to be filled.
I thank all the devotees who have been a huge source of inspiration and mercy. I thank everyone for their timely help and their unconditional love. I thank RDGDD for all her prayers and support and love. Without her encouragement it seemed impossible. Drushan who has been of support since the beginning and bore with all my nonsense. My dear Santosh bhaiya who helped inspite of him moving out of the USA and having a wife who was pregnant! Thank you so much! I thank Mr. Kishore and his son who have been of timely help. And last but not the least Ratnesh who had been of great help and my beloved sister Anjani who forgave her birthday money. Thank the bank which gave us a loan, the advocate and the devotees who had come. Without all your mercy and blessings it would have been impossible! I thank the Supreme Lord, Sri Sri Radha Madan Mohan without whose mercy this would not have started and my beloved spiritual master who was the actual person behind this project.
We beg and pray that you continue to support us in make this project of "Simple living and high thinking". We pray that through this small endeavor we please Srila Prabhupada and He showers His causeless mercy upon us.
